King George, born October 1, 1966, has lived a life of unprecedented achievement. His talents on the field are only matched by his passion and activism on behalf of his homeland, where he worked to bring an end to a long civil war and entered politics to instill hope and bring change to the lives of youth.

During his playing career, Weah became famous for wearing red Diadora boots, and they represent his life's greatest acheivements. These boots also serve as an inspiration and reminder to all Liberians with a hard work ethic and persistence attitude, that if you never give up, your dreams will become reality.
A Modern Sports Complex
Football pitches, basketball courts, volleyball and tennis court, playgrounds for children, and housing units abound in this state of the art sports center open free to the public. These historic grounds have been used for recreational purposes for half a century, and as a football pitch for members of the Invincible Eleven, including the young Oppong Weah. During the worst years of our history, it also served as prayer grounds for hundreds of women wearing white and committing their lives to returning peace to our nation. These Prayer Warriors will forever be remembered and welcomed to the park with shelter and comfort for prayer.
